Rachel Aydt is a freelance writer and editor who’s lived in New York City for over twenty years. For fifteen years she worked on staff at various national consumer magazines including American Heritage and Cosmopolitan. Her features and essays have appeared in anthologies and publications that include Parents, the New York Post, the New York Times’ Motherlode blog, the Huffington Post, Redbook, Kiwi, Inked, and many more. She’s a part-time Assistant Professor at the New School University where she’s taught a variety of writing courses since 2002. She’s a contributing editor at Publishing Perspectives, an international global trade where she gets to write about books, writers, and the ever-changing publishing industry. She lives in the East Village with her husband and son
