Dr. Rahimeh Andalibian is a psychologist and the author of the memoir, The Rose Hotel, which has received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and topped Amazon’s #1 bestseller list in the memoir category. “Dr. A” self published the book and on its one-year anniversary, The Rose Hotel was sold to National Geographic and was re-released in 2015. The book chronicles the story of her Iranian Muslim family and their fight to survive after a tragedy destroys the idyllic life they once led in the Holy City of Mashhad (second only to Mecca). Their peaceful life in their own luxury hotel ends and they are uprooted and exiled to London, then to California. Dr. Andalibian works as a licensed clinical psychologist in New York City specializing in family therapy, trauma, spectrum issues, and business coaching with social entrepreneurs. She is also a play creator and producer who has created Glass Houses, an innovative theater work which explores real-life stories and inspires healing.
