T Dixon has led an adventurous life. Raised on a farm in the Deep South, she then moved on to medical school and to the United States Army, and was a combat veteran of the Iraq War. Throughout all her travels, she’s worked as everything from a tutor to a trash collector. She’s done carpentry, lifeguarding, and waitressing, and while she is technically a physician and surgeon, she’s currently focused on her writing and public speaking, applying her leadership and communication skills to advocate for veterans’ needs, and as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Dixon writes on a wide range of topics, from personal stories of childhood to hilarious surgical cases and life in the military and at war. Her works include poetry, prose, fiction and essays. Currently enrolled in the Writer’s Program at the University of California, Los Angeles, T makes her home in North Hollywood, CA.
